Continuing from last time, I’m going to talk about last minute adjustments and carbo-loading.

It was a continuation of the chocolatier’s tour that I did the other day.

This time it’s about “training” other than chocolate.

During these few days of training, I was taken care of by the following patisseries.

  1. Baby Mon Cher http://mon-cher.com/baby-brand.html
  2. idemi sugino hidemi sugino http://tabelog.com/tokyo/A1302/A130202/13002285/

This time, I’d like to introduce them in order and give a brief comment without ranking them in any particular order.

This was the first stop on our patisserie tour for carbo-loading.

This dish is a pudding a la mode served on top of the famous Dojima Roll. The sweetness of the pudding a la mode was refreshing and pleasant, but as a person with a big sweet tooth, I would have liked it to be a bit sweeter.

The patisserie which represents Japan without saying. In fact, I was taken care of for two consecutive days.

On the first day, we ate in. However, since photography is prohibited when you eat in, we took out when we visited the next day. The photo is from the take-out.

Idemi Sugino’s cakes use a lot of liqueur, so if you’re not a fan of alcohol, you might be a little confused, but for those who love alcohol and sweet things, it’s no exaggeration to say that you’ll experience a taste like heaven.

That’s what I’m talking about.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the patisserie is synonymous with tarts.

I actually went twice, once on the first day and once today, Friday, and I got a total of five tarts in two visits.

I tweeted on Twitter asking for recommendations for this training, and Kilphevon was one of the patisseries that received the most recommendations, along with Idemi Sugino.

Of course I was very satisfied with the pastry.

I’ve tried not only fresh pastries but also baked goods.

This baumkuchen shop is located in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi.

First of all, we were shown to a table in the shape of a baumkuchen, the only one of its kind in Tempo!

We had a freshly baked Baumkuchen Darjeeling and took out some souvenirs on the way back.

You should definitely try it for its unexpected fluffiness and elegant sweetness. Freshly baked of course!

I’ve bought some souvenirs from this shop in Paris. I accidentally bought a macaroon when I passed by the shop.

However, the taste of macarons is completely different from when you eat them in France…

It’s actually one of my favorite patisseries from quite a while ago. I think it’s been in the Daimaru Tokyo store for quite some time now.

I wanted to eat a lot of things, but I dared to choose pudding here. It was my first time to try pudding. It was orthodox, but smooth and richly sweet. The pudding was still great!

I haven’t had Keith Manhattan candy in what, 15 years?

Finally, the last one is here. A shop of high quality caramels. A temporary tempo was set up at Tokyo Station Gransta for a limited time.

It looks interesting, so I bought it just for some reason, but this is it again…. The moment you put it in your mouth, it melts at once, and it is surprisingly sweet, but it has a very solid and elegant aroma that dominates the whole mouth in a short time, so it has a very good balance with the sweetness that is so strong.

As I dislike half-hearted sweetness, perhaps this caramel is the one that satisfied me the most in this training.

So, I have a few sweets left that I bought through this project, so I’m done buying new sweets for now. I’d like to take the rest of the delicious sweets and head to Kyoto.

いよいよ明日は京都入り。
