Before I knew it, it was already the sixth day. We had an early start this day. We checked out of the hotel early at 7:30 and got into the car to start our tour of the beautiful village.
We actually tried to have breakfast at Paul’s near the parking lot, but they weren’t rotating yet at this hour, so we decided to have it at a service area on the highway.
You can have breakfast at most of the service areas on the expressway. It’s a French breakfast, so it’s just croissant, pain au chocolat and coffee.
The first stop was Saint-Lizier, where I accidentally missed a good photo. It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The weather was just perfect and we were able to get some great photos.
We had visited here yesterday and only came to take photos, so we finished our business and moved on to the next beautiful village.
Next is the beautiful village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. It is also a village on the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela and a tourist attraction.
The symbol of this village is the church that rises on a small hill.
The town is also very nice.
Next is a beautiful village called Salang.
It was a small village with a circumference of less than 300 meters. I was impressed that children were playing happily.
From Salins it was a two hour drive. We headed to Salla in the Dordogne region. No way, no way, this is the third time.
Unfortunately, it rained in Sallah, but even in the rain, the beauty of this city is universal. It was a moving beauty.
This day we stayed in Sallah. I booked a place to stay somewhat outside the old town. Even so, it was about 3 minutes walk to the old town.
Well, the Dordogne has a concentration of beautiful villages, but if you come to this region, you must try the foie gras!
There are foie gras shops all over the place. I bought some as a souvenir.
Dinner was at a restaurant in the old town.
We had the Rossini style steak with lots of foie gras. It was only 20 euros with this main course, appetizer and dessert. Cheap! The foie gras and the meat were very tasty. It seems to be high in calories…
By the time we finished eating, the rain had stopped. We walked slowly to the hotel to cool down and went to bed.
