On this day in Saint-Emilion, it was raining heavily yesterday, but the next day was sunny and cloudless.
We strolled around the city in the morning glow before breakfast, then checked out and strolled around again, including some shopping.
Then on to Bordeaux, my second visit in two years.
This time we entered Bordeaux from the north-east of the city, not from the highway but from the public road. We crossed the bridge over the Garonne side to enter the city, which was an impressive sight.
I didn’t want to take extra time to look for a hotel and a parking lot, so I parked my car at the hotel where I stayed before and the parking lot near it and started sightseeing before checking in.
The streets of Bordeaux are as beautiful as ever.
Last time, we arrived in the evening and left early in the morning, so we couldn’t take our time and we didn’t notice many things.
And that there was a place where you could take such beautiful pictures.
I went back to the parking lot to pick up my luggage and checked in to the hotel, where I rested for about three hours.
Fortunately, Bordeaux is a big city, but it’s not so big that you have to spend days and hours to go around, and there are not so many things to see.
In the evening, we had dinner near the hotel.
We had the foie gras & beef dish again for synthesis.
This is still about $3,000, though.
It was delicious, but it was a lot of volume. I’m worried about a lot of things…
