This year is the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring (Harsai)”, and various groups are performing Harsai.
I went to the Champs Elysees Theater, where the scandal took place, 9 years ago. I heard Mara 9 by the Vienna Philharmonic.
Oh, by the way, such a CD was also released (laughs)
I was introduced to this orchestra by a friend here.
I was very anxious about whether I would be able to play this difficult piece with my own skills, but I thought it would be a rare opportunity to play the harpsichord I had been longing for, and I was lucky that many of the practice venues were very close to my home, so I decided to take the plunge.
Because I have to take care of several orchestras, I can’t go out for drinks after practice, so I don’t get to know all the members very well. I’d like to get to know them a little better at the launch.
We still have a little more time before the performance, so we will do our best to practice individually so that we can have a good performance.
(実はハルサイにばかり時間を取れていてリャードフ、伊福部が結構やばかったりします…。練習しないと。)
