This was the third day and the last day we could do a full day of sightseeing. The weather looks good.
Car rental in Valletta
We had decided to rent a car for the day. The rental was to be done in Valletta, where we were staying. However, the rental place was designated Excelsior Hotel, which is considered one of the most luxurious hotels in Valletta.
Location.
Apparently, the rental company comes to the lobby of the hotel. This was the same case in Dubrovnik in 2009. I have a bad memory that they came about an hour later than the appointed time and we had to wait….
However, contrary to my expectation, the vendor arrived at almost 9:00 am. We went through some procedures in the lobby and got the car safely.
Go to Gozo by ferry
We immediately drove to the town of Kirkeuwa in the northwest of Malta and took a ferry to the island of Gozo.
By the way, Malta is a former British territory, so it is the same as Japan, right-hand drive, left-hand drive. However, the blinker is on the left, and it can be said that it is Europe that it is MT car.
It takes about 50 minutes from Valletta to Kirkeuwa by car. It is not so far, but driving was a little difficult because of the narrow mountain roads.
I had a little time here, so I took some pictures of the car this time.
Ford Fiesta, still useless, but well, patience for a day or so.
I didn’t understand how the ferry worked, but later I found out that if you go from Malta to Gozo, you can get on without buying a ticket, and if you go from Gozo to Malta on the way back, they make you buy a ticket when you enter the ferry terminal on Gozo.
我々はよくわからず、ゴゾ島のキルケウワにて往復代金のチケットを購入してしまいました。クルマ1台&2名でこの料金は結構お得かも。
However, in this case, if you show this ticket at the entrance when you go back to Malta from Gozo, you could take the ferry from Gozo side without paying any money. There was a ferry about once an hour. I felt that I could get here in the morning.
フェリー自体は、以前シチリアで乗った時とだいたい同じでした。
We got out of the car and went to the deck. There is a space to relax like this, and we spend 30 minutes there. You will arrive at the island of Gozo.
The weather is good. I’m looking forward to it.
