It’s August 14th. There are only three days left, and it’s sunny in Cologne this morning. Today’s first sightseeing is this World Heritage Site in the suburbs of Cologne.

Augustusburg Castle (also translated as Augustusburg Palace) was built in the early 18th century by Clemens August von Bayern of the Wittelsbach family, who was also Archbishop of Cologne, the seat of the Elector. (see below)

It’s not too far from the outskirts of Cologne. It was about 30 or 40 minutes by car.
I spotted the AlphaRomeo MiTo right in front of me! I’m a little happy.
I didn’t know where Zentrum was, but I arrived at my destination safely. I think I was a little early.
But still, stunning weather!
I thought, “Let’s get inside.

I hate guided tours.
I stopped visiting.
Well, I actually saw a little bit of the first two rooms. I ignored the guide and went on crunching and got stopped. Apparently I wasn’t able to communicate in English with the lady at the reception.
Then we didn’t go to the other one, Villa Falkenruss.
もっともヨーロッパのあちこちでこうした宮殿のなかを見てますのでそれほど残念とも思わなかったのが本音ですね。さあ気をとりなおして次へ向かいます。(続く)
