May 2nd is the last day of this very long road trip, and I have to go back to Gare Montparnasse in Paris where I first rented a car. But we had plenty of time, so we drove from Clervo, where we had stayed the night before, to the Belgian border, which was only about 20 minutes away. From there, it takes another 30 minutes to get to Spa Francorchamps, which has “one of the best circuits in the world”.
I’ve been there.
We arrived really easily. All of a sudden, “Eau Rouge” was right in front of us!
There were a lot of cars running on the track from this morning. Moreover, even if it is only a few people, a tourist went into the circuit site without permission, and so did I. No one can stop me…
What a surprise, we’ve made it to the paddock!
Seriously, I can see the course, the Eau Rouge!
It seems that they bring in GT cars and other cars to run on the circuit. Even so, it is a lot of high-class cars.
But I was surprised at how hard the slope of Eau Rouge was. It’s hard to see in the picture, but it’s really like a wall. And it looks like it’s going to fly into the sky.
I enjoyed Spa Francorchamps more than I expected, so the time passed more than I expected. From here, we moved to France at once. Move to Paris. I saw the cathedral because Reims is just on the way.
This was magnificent.
There was a shop that sold champagne because it was the center of the Champagne region. I spent a lot of money and went to Paris.
At the end of the day, we drove around Paris tweaking and playing with the city.
The weather wasn’t great, but I’ve been to Paris before when I first rented a car, so I’m getting to know the roads and how to drive. However, it was still nerve-wracking.
And after this, we returned the car safely at Montparnasse.
