Now it’s time to start updating from the site.
I left Tokyo at night on AF277 and arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 4:00 pm, almost on time. The rental car office was open at 6:00, but I was writing my blog, so it didn’t take me long.
As usual, I went through the procedure without any major problems, but to my surprise, the car that came out was a Nissan Micra, or March in Japan, and I’m not kidding!
I had it changed to a Fiat.
It’s called “FIAT PUNTO EVO”. It’s my first time to drive FIAT. To be honest, I would have preferred a Peugeot, but I guess I can forgive it.
I think it’s the same setup as usual, or even simpler than usual.
On this day, we traversed the city of Paris from north to south, and went to the most beautiful village in France, Yèvre-le-Châtel. We arrived there just before 11 o’clock.
It was cloudy and rainy in Paris early in the morning, but just before we arrived at this village, the weather cleared up.
The village itself is very beautiful and we got off to a good start.
After that, we went to Bourges which we could not visit last year. We saw the cathedral of the world heritage carefully.
Then, after another hour or so, we headed to Apremont-sur-Allier, our second beautiful village.
It was really beautiful here. It’s quite a high level village that I’ve visited.
This is the end of sightseeing for the day. The first night’s accommodation was arranged in Apremont-sur-Allier, and we decided to stay in a town called Moulin, which is about an hour away from here.
Surprisingly, there were no restaurants in town, so we ended up having dinner at the hotel. After all, the wine we drink here is delicious.
さあて、2日目の今日はクレルモンフェラン周辺に点在する美しい村をまわってみたいと思います。
