Perpignan and the train to Barcelona -2012 France and Spain

Visit: May 10, 2012, around 7:00 p.m. (one night)

It’s a new year, and I’m still writing my GW travel blog from last year.

First of all, I arrived in Paris on May 3, 2012, and spent about a week there on a “tour of the beautiful villages of France.

We arrived at Perpignan Central Station just before dusk at 7pm. I returned the car and took a taxi to the hotel I had booked.

Of course, Perpignan is a French town, but it looks like Spain somehow.

On this day, we had a light meal at a restaurant in the central square. There was a menu in Spanish, too.

I wonder if this is a local beer.

Now, the next day, we will take the 8:57am train to leave France and head to Barcelona.

Perpignan, the station is kind of exotic and cool! This is the front side. Yesterday I only visited the other side because I had to return my car, so this is the first time for me to visit this side.

If it’s a domestic flight, you can buy a ticket from a vending machine, but since it’s a foreign train, you can’t buy a ticket from a vending machine.

We’re on our way to Spain!

We passed through the border town without incident.

We arrived in Barcelona almost on time.

It’s a beautiful day!

This is my third visit to Barcelona, and this time I’m staying for three nights. I booked a rather luxurious hotel in this city and took a taxi to there.
