Date of visit: May 8, 2013, around 2:00 p.m.
Sarrnat is a small village of less than 1,000 inhabitants located about 40 km from Auch, the capital of Gascony.
It is a two hour drive from Saint-Bertrand-de-Comange. We were able to use the highway effectively so it wasn’t too difficult to get around.
It is a very small village surrounded by a wall of 500m or less. We parked our car outside the wall and went sightseeing.
In front of the village hall, there was also a memorial to the First World War. You can see them all over France.
You will enter the village through this gate.
This is what you see when you pass through the gate and jump in. It looks promising.
Very small and nice street corner.
Is it a restaurant? Is it a family? They are having lunch.
The church in the center of the village is quite large compared to the size of the village, so it’s hard to capture it from a distance.
Why are these signs and post boxes so stylish in France?
It was a very small village and we stayed for about 30 minutes.
This is the end of the day’s tour of beautiful villages. After this, we moved to Dordogne at once.
