Weekend, hanging out in Shimokitazawa

essay

Last Saturday, I went to Shimokitazawa for the first time in a while to see my friend’s live performance.

I think this is the first time I got off the Odakyu Line since it became underground.

When I came to Tokyo for the first time 14 years ago for graduate school, I lived in Shimokitazawa. I lived in the same place until I got a job and changed my career.

So it is a city of memories where I lived for almost 6 years.

The song they featured at the live was from Persona (the game, right?), I forget the details, but it’s a lot of good songs.

I like a good female vocal song with a good ride. I’m not sure what genre it is.

Afterwards, it was a bit hot, but I strolled around this nostalgic town thinking, “Oh, this shop used to be here,” or “That shop is already gone.

I found myself walking further past the apartment building I lived in and ended up in Sangenjaya.

We decided to have a light drink at a bar in Sangenjaya. I say lightly, but I drank three glasses of Languedoc Occitania wine, which I’m a bit addicted to these days, because it was so delicious.

We were able to beat the guerrilla rain in the shop at the right time.

思い出の街はいいな。
