It’s hot, too hot. But I have to run. It’s only 40 days until the show.
I don’t think I’ve run in such a hot afternoon since junior high school. But I had to build up my stamina and legs, so I gave it my best shot. I ran for about three hours from 10:00 yesterday, Saturday, August 2.
At first, I thought I wanted to run 20-25km, but when I started running, I found out that it was impossible. I thought I had already run about 5km, but it was only about 2.5km….
I thought I’d already done 10km, but when I checked runkeeper, it said 7km.
Yesterday I started to run along the Tama River in the middle of the day, but maybe this was not a good idea. There was hardly any shade!
Under the bridge on the way is a real oasis.
I took a break every time I came under the bridge, and repeated this running, but I gave up after 11.7km.
As expected, this was far below my original training goal, so I decided to at least take the long way around and walk, if not run. But I thought I walked about 8km again, but it ended up being 6.4km of walking… I’m so sick of this.
Even so, I used my legs for about 18km, so I think my legs got a good workout.
Next time, I will ride slowly in the city with a lot of shade in the daytime, or take time to ride hard at night.
ところで、多摩川、第二京浜付近、川崎サイドにあった「多摩川交流センター」がとてもよかったです。
I would like to use it a lot when I do the Tama River run in the future.
I would also like to visit the golf course in front of this place.
川崎リバーサイドパーク、ロングホールもあるし楽しそうだ。すごい難しそうでもないから良い練習になる気がします。受付はこの多摩川交流センターの建物内にあります。
I’d like to revive my golf game once the marathon and concerts have settled down somewhat.
