Château de Val Val castle -2012 France and Spain

Date of visit: May 4, 2012, around 2:00 p.m.

GW旅行、フランス2日目に訪れたヴァル城（Château de Val）。こちらは、iPhone, iPadアプリ：「空からみたフランス」で知ったお城です。

The castle is very nice as you can see from the pictures.

This time, I went to the beautiful village because it was mainly in the Auvergne region in central France and it seemed to be not far from Clermont-Ferrand, the main city.

この日は一番最初にSemur-en-Brionnais（スミュール・アン・ブリオネ）という美しい村を訪問、このヴァル城へ向かう途中で「Charroux（シャルー）」という美しい村によろうと思ったのですが、有ると思っていた高速道路の出口が存在せず！？、泣く泣くCharroux（シャルー）を諦めてこのヴァル城へとやってきました。

And the road was much harder than I expected…. Thanks to this, our plans were pushed back…. And the weather was cloudy, with occasional showers.

Still, Val Castle was lovely, although the surrounding area was more desolate than I had expected.

It’s a weekday and it’s empty. You can easily park in front of the castle. By the way, the car in the foreground is mine in the photo above.

If the weather was good, would the lake look more blue? It might be a little disappointing.

You can also go inside. Because it has been maintained for tourism firmly, worth seeing is enough to be small!

There were a few groups of tourists, but as you can imagine, the traffic was not good, so we were able to see the castle almost as if we had it all to ourselves.

Around here, there are no such tourist attractions, so I was worried about going, but I think it was worth the trouble to visit.
