Well, I’m starting to update my travelogue of Greece, which I went to in October.
I started from Athens. I flew to Paris from Tokyo at 9pm. I arrived at Paris at 4 a.m. and took a 7 a.m. flight to Athens. It was after noon when I arrived.
We left our luggage at the hotel and started sightseeing immediately. I thought I could check in the hotel from relatively early time in Europe, but I was told to wait until 3:00 p.m. here, so I was a little unhappy.
Well, but the first sightseeing, “Acropolis of Athens”, which should be called here, is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
As you can see, not only Greek but also English is available to guide you in Athens, so you won’t get lost so much.
Pay the fee at the entrance and go to the Acropolis, the World Heritage Site!
I don’t need to explain anymore, it’s so sunny and pleasant, but it’s hotter than expected, so it might be a little hard for sightseeing after a long trip.
You will see the remains of several theaters as you make your way to the heights of the Acropolis.
Finally, we arrived at the high ground. It is crowded with many tourists. Well, I always wonder why the sky in Europe is so blue.
Look back and you’ll see it!
When you go through the entrance, you will see the Parthenon right in front of you.
Still the same? I’m doing construction, but I’ve already seen this kind of construction here and there in the tourist area, so I don’t mind so much.
But from the other side, you can see it.
Blue skies and huge temples, an impressive sight.
As you can see, this is the area where the Parthenon stands. It’s a little bit difficult to walk because of the bad foothold.
It was impressive that the wind was strong, probably due to its location on a hill.
By the way, the 360-degree panorama from here is the best feeling in the world.
I’d love to climb up here too (note: we went the next day)
And below, the Ancient Agora and Roman Agora.
While thinking about the ancient times, I finished the sightseeing of the first day of arrival. After lunch, I went back to the hotel and checked in. It was still light, but I took a shower and went to bed as soon as possible.
It seems that I was attacked by the sun. But thanks to the sleep here, I was able to go sightseeing in perfect condition from the next day.
