This may be my first slump since I started. I actually played twice this week, but I couldn’t get any sound. I wonder if I can overcome it…
I am sure that the rhinitis is also affected. I feel that my constitution changes very much when I take that medicine.
Still, there seems to be an effect of continuous lessons. Even though they point out very basic things every time, they are really important.
“To check your embouchure in the mirror without holding up your instrument.”
“Hold your instrument without compromising your embouchure (which you checked in the mirror).”
Apparently, at some point, I was so concerned about gathering my breath and getting it out that I closed my lips too much. That’s certainly what I saw in the mirror.
Also, as usual, I’m having trouble using my lower lip. I still can’t get a sense of where to hit and how flexible it is. I don’t know how many years I’ve been doing this…
