Breakfast at Futakotamagawa
The breakfast ride, which has become a regular event recently, started from Futakotamagawa on this day. We were three men and two women. We had breakfast at this restaurant just a few minutes by bicycle from the station.
「FARMERS MARKET 二子玉川」の2Fにある「ゆっくりとカフェ」というお店です。
Salad and toast. Ordered a fried egg and sausage as options. It was very delicious. The vegetables were especially good, as I knew it was JA.
Go north along the Tama River.
We were worried about the weather, but it turned out to be a good day for cycling. It was rather hot.
Today, we headed north along the Tama River. The idea was to go as far as we could in time for the fireworks at night, but the members’ steps were smooth. Before we knew it, we had reached Takahatafudoson.
Nourishment to the station. Everyone loves gelato!
On top of that, we went to Seiseki Sakuragaoka, which is also the setting of “Mimi wo Sumemeba”. I tried my best to climb up the steep hill.
It was past two o’clock in the afternoon. I was out of energy from the gelato I had charged earlier, so I recharged. We had a curry at a Nepalese Indian restaurant near Seiseki Sakuragaoka station. Since there were many of us, we ordered a lot of food. It was a curry party.
Now let’s go back to Futakotamagawa again. We headed south along Kawasaki Kaido. On the way, we had a hard time crossing the hill where Sakuragaoka Country is located, which we often pass on our way to Parthenon Tama, but we overcame it with all our energy and made it back safely at exactly 5pm.

We hadn’t prepared any leisure seats, but we knew we’d be drinking on the way home, so we brought our wheeled bags and they worked great as seats.

The place and the seat were secured safely. And two of our friends joined us. They were ready for the party.
The fireworks display will start at 6:00 p.m. after the sun has set and last about an hour.
I don’t know when was the last time I watched fireworks slowly like this…. It was an hour that flew by.
After that, we avoided the crowded Futakotamagawa and went to Yoga, the next station, for today’s party.
We left Yoga at 23:00 at night. I did what I should do with my wheeled bag and took the train home. By the time I got home, it was past midnight.
Other members rode their bicycles home, and some drove their cars parked on the Kawasaki side of the road. Everyone is really strong….
久しぶりに朝から夜中まで充実した日を過ごせたと思います。ますます自転車が楽しくなって来ました。
