If anything, Spain is a more western country than the UK. In spite of this, the time difference is the same as that of continental Europe. In other words, it is one hour earlier than London.
Europe is on daylight saving time at this time of the year, so dusk is late even for free.
As for Spain, it’s further west than the continent including France and Germany, so it’s no wonder that the sun sets at almost 11 p.m. and dinner starts at 9 p.m. at the earliest.
