Mycenae is the next stop after Olympia.
Olympia is located at the western end of the Peloponnese, near Pyrgos, while Mycenae is at the eastern end, near Corinth.
Athens is further to the east beyond Corinth.
There are many places to see in the southern Peloponnese, but we didn’t have time to stop there this time, so we decided to go east at once.
The middle part of the Peloponnese is a mountainous area with steep roads. In some places, you have to climb up to almost 1,000 meters above sea level.
There was just such a city in the middle part of Peloponnese.
It looks like a city called Lagadia.
On the way, there was only about a very small village, but this town was the only exception, there were several hotels and restaurants. Is it a tourist spot?
These monuments were impressive.
It had been a tough drive and we had a very good time to take a break. It was just before 1pm at this point.
However, there is still a long way to go to Mycenae.
