For a while now, I’m going to be writing in a diary style in my so-called blog posts.
We will be setting up a separate fixed page (as in WordPress) to develop detailed summary information about the Medoc Marathon. Please wait a little longer.

事前準備に関しては、こちらにまとめています。
Date and Time: September 13, 2014 at approximately 9:00 a.m.
It’s been a little while since I’ve done this. I will return to this series.
The starting point, Pauillac, was blessed with clear skies. As it gradually became brighter, many runners in fancy dress gathered.
どうやら日本の大会のようにゼッケンチェック的なものはないようです。さらに整列も適当で決まっていないようです。
The starting point was already in full swing. Loud music was flowing and it was like a samba carnival. I mean, there really were dancers….
And all kinds of costumes. It’s really fun just to watch this.
I mean, is this a costume? Can you run in this? It’s amazing.
This looks like some kind of big dolly. You can’t see the whole scene in the picture because it’s too close. It’s not a masquerade anymore.
Now, with all the excitement already in the air, the time to start was approaching.
A countdown in French begins, and finally, at 9:30 a.m., the start is announced!
Amidst loud cheers and bright confetti, I finally passed through the start gate about 5 minutes after the start signal. My Medoc Marathon had finally begun!
For the first 6km, the road is easy to run. This was confirmed in the preliminary inspection the day before.
First of all, we will run to “Château MONTROSE” which is 6km away.
