I had a little time before dinner, so I took a walk around the central square. But it was already past 5 p.m., so the shops were not doing much, and of course all the tourist facilities were closed.
Now, here’s another review by Wikipedia.

It’s a town with a lot of history in silver mine. And it lasted for more than 1,000 years. So it was mined until the end of the last century. Also, I saw on another site that this town was the only one in the Harz region that belonged to the West German side, and that’s why they put so much effort into preserving it.
I see, that’s why there is still a very well managed and beautiful cityscape.
The big city in this area is Hannover, but maybe it’s because of the influence of Japanese tourist guide books, but it seems that there are not so many tours in this area of North Germany. And there are no Chinese people here, so there are few oriental people.
The cobblestone is very beautiful. I’ve seen so many cobblestone streets that I’m tired of them, but surprisingly, there are not so many places where they are properly maintained. I was impressed that this place is really well managed.
We ended up walking around the central square a bit, probably because we didn’t have much time. Still, it was fun!

I went to bed shortly after dinner in the offlo. I think I was tired from running in the rain all day.
The next day. It was a fine day, a change from yesterday.
We also visited a church we couldn’t get into yesterday.
