Date of visit: April 21, 2011, around 3:00 p.m.
After La Flotte, we visited the most beautiful village in France, Ars-en-Ré, also in Ile de Ré. Ars-en-Ré is on the left side of this map. It was not so far, but there were many cars, so it took about 30 minutes.
Parked right in front of the yacht harbor like this. Honestly, I don’t think there were that many parking spaces. No, you might be able to park a little further away from the city. I was fortunate to be able to park near the center of town. Basically free.
It’s right on the ocean, plus the weather is so nice. It’s the best!
So many people come here by bicycle.
For a small village, it seems to have many souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes.
I walked to the central square of the village.
The tourist information center in the beautiful village of Ile de Ré is very nice, as was La Flotte earlier.
The church in the center, it was more spectacular than La Flotte, which I just visited.
Actually, it was 3pm when we arrived at this village, but we didn’t have a chance to have lunch, so we finally had lunch here. I bought a sandwich. It was delicious ^^!
A continental sandwich is usually a baguette.
とても気持よく観光することができました。さてさてここからはしばらくロングドライブ。本日の宿をとっているボルドーへと向かいます。実はボルドーのホテル、例のBooking.comアプリで先程のラ・フロットで予約していました。
