Well, it’s been a while since I updated. I’ve been in Burgundy since the day before. We stayed in Vazeley the night before and started to drive in Burgundy in earnest from this day.
The vast fields of rape blossoms and wheat are very impressive in this region, and we passed through the great plain to the first village of the day, Noyers (Noyers-sur-Sur-Suran). The parking lot was located by the castle gate at the entrance of the village.
We go through that castle gate to the center of the village. It’s a wonderful weather.
Of course, it is a small village, but I have the impression that there are many restaurants and wine caves in Burgundy, an area of wine and gastronomy. The restaurants certainly stand out.
Wine is also on sale. We are planning to go to the center of Burgundy after this, so we will buy wine later.
This is a building of the village. This kind of wooden house reminds me of Alsace somehow. It’s not so close to the village, but we’ve come to the eastern area before we know it.
This village was particularly lovely with its alleyways.
I think I spent more time walking around than I thought I would, partly because I enjoyed the back alleys. We are a bit behind schedule, but we will go to the next destination as soon as possible. The next stop is Fontenay Monastery, a World Heritage Site located nearby.
