Date of visit: May 9, 2013, around 1:00 p.m.
The second village of the day is Cardaillac.
It is actually a village not far from Capdenac-le-Haut, which we visited earlier. It is located less than 20 minutes from the town of Figac. Capdenac-le-Haut is less than 10 minutes away from Figac. So it is very close.
The distance is as shown on the map.
However, unlike Cap d’Auc-le-Haut, Cardayac was selected as a beautiful village when we traveled here in 2010. So, in 2010, there was only one beautiful village around Figeac, Cardayac.
As you can see on the map above, there are many beautiful villages in this area of the Midi-Pyrenees (Lot, Corrèze, Dordogne, etc.), but Cardaillac is a bit far away, so we couldn’t include it in our itinerary three years ago.
So this time, fortunately, a new village was added nearby, and we were able to visit it as well.
Arrived at the village, there was a large parking lot near the shop at this entrance, so we parked there and started sightseeing.
Very small and old village, there were some scenes of construction like this, but the beautiful appearance is still there.
The three old towers are one of the most attractive features of the village. They were built in the 11th century and the existing ones are from the 13th century.

We were able to climb one of these historic towers.
Can’t wait to see the beautiful village from up high!
After getting off the tower, we went to the other entrance of the village. If anything, this might be the main entrance.
There was a beautiful medieval village that has never faded.
Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day. It was hot, so I bought an ice cream at the shop in front of the parking lot at the end and decided to head to the next beautiful village.
