Tournemire – Tour of the most beautiful villages in France 2013 No.9 -★★★★☆

May 9, the village of 3 nails is Tournemire, which is located in the Auvergne region, a little further away. This regional area is located in the slightly southern part of central France.

There is an image that driving is just a little tighter than I thought because there are many ups and downs of the road and a lot of winding roads, not to mention the island of land.

I visited this place 3 years ago. Actually, this is Tournemir, a village that I forgot to visit at that time.

This time, I wanted to conquer the most beautiful villages in France on the European mainland, so I decided to try my best to visit them, even though it was impossible in terms of schedule.

Unfortunately, it was raining (very hard) in this village, while it was very sunny in the previous two villages, but the atmosphere of the village was wonderful, with houses in typical Auvergne colors.

It was raining, so it was very difficult to shoot while holding an umbrella.

However, the beauty of the greenery seen in such rain is also exceptional.

The château d’Anjony, built in the 15th century, is the most representative building of the village.

It is a very small village, but there were so many tourists (probably local French), probably because of this chateau.

Unfortunately, we could not see the inside of the castle because it was a guided tour only, and apparently only by appointment.

However, I saw many pamphlets and posters at the entrance of this castle, and it seems that there are many nice medieval castles like this all over the Auvergne region.

The scenery of Auvergne is beautiful even if it is designated as a normal drive, so I thought I’d like to take a road trip in this region next time, looking up various attractions on the Internet or Michelin Green Guide.

In the pouring rain, we slowly made our way to the parking lot again with umbrellas.
