Finally, the final installment. Back home, enjoying the most beautiful and popular mosque in the world! This is the last episode.
It was a strong schedule for three days and one night in Dubai, but I was able to fully enjoy it, so I will report on it several times.

A mosque with a great reputation on TripAdvisor
ドバイ・ジュメイラビーチを出発、再びアブダビへと戻ります。この日の夜の便で帰国ですが、もう一つ最後に観光します。それは[highlight]「シェイク・ザーイド・モスク」[/highlight]。
鮮やかな白い石造りがとても印象的なモスク。多くのモスクはムスリム以外は立入禁止が多い中、このモスクはイスラム教のマナーは厳守しなければならないものの、信教関係なく誰でも無料で入場することができます。ということもあって、TripAdvisorによれば、アブダビでも最も人気のある観光場所となっています。
The location of this mosque is on the west side of the airport, which takes less than 30 minutes by car.
アブダビって、ドバイ以上に見どころが一箇所に集中していなく観光しづらいところなんですよね。もちろんバス、タクシーといったような公共の交通機関もありますが、正直クルマを借りてしまったほうが楽でしょう。海外ドライブはハードル高いですが、幸いここはヨーロッパとは違ってオートマなので、左ハンドル右側通行という点さえクリアできれば運転は比較的簡単な方だと思います。レッツチャレンジ！
Abu Dhabi is about an hour and a half by car from Dubai Jumeirah Beach. Follow the E10 line that passes by Abu Dhabi Airport to the west. About 15 minutes after passing through the airport, I could see the beautiful white building from crossing the bridge near the mosque.
This is so promising!
This mosque has a large parking lot, as informed. It was free. There is plenty of space, so we had no trouble parking.
It was as hot in Abu Dhabi as it was in Dubai. We arrived at around 4:30 p.m., but the temperature still seemed to be close to 40 degrees Celsius.
The first thing to do is to check your belongings.
クルマを停めて、モスクの入り口へ向かいした。まずモスク敷地内に入るための持ち物検査を受けなければなりません。入り口は大きなテント内になっていて中は外から見えません。そのテント内に入ると、空港で見かけるようなX線チェックの機械が2つ並んでいました。左が男性、右は女性だと、係の人が案内。
ちなみに、[highlight]まだここでは、男性女性ともに服装のチェックは行いません。[/highlight]どうやら入った後にあるようです。
このチェック大きな荷物さえなければ特段問題なく通過できると思いますが、僕の場合は一眼レフカメラが何か引っかかったようで、数分程度待たされました。結局問題ないということで入場を許可されました。
おっと忘れずに。こちらのモスク、[highlight]入場料は無料[/highlight]でした。すばらしい。
About clothes
I would like to briefly touch on the clothing that is of most concern when visiting a mosque. Basically, non-Muslims can enter the mosque, but of course, it is a sacred place, so there are appropriate dress etiquette for men and women. However, I think you don’t need to be so defensive.
まず、男性は基本的に長ズボンであれば大丈夫。ちなみに[highlight]裸足OK、サンダルOK[/highlight]でしたね。確かにモスクの礼拝って靴脱ぐので、イスラム圏の人ではサンダルの人を見かけるような気がします。アブダビの夏はかなり暑いので、むしろこのほうがおすすめかも。
続いて女性ですが、ご存知のとおりちょっと面倒です。基本的には顔以外の部分、つまり両手足や髪などはすべて覆い隠す必要があります。[highlight]入場後に観光客用の「アパヤ」と呼ばれるアラビア半島の伝統的民族衣装を借りる[/highlight]ことができますが、長袖の上下および[highlight]顔以外の場所を覆うことができるスカーフ等あれば全く問題なかった[/highlight]です。
So my wife went in without renting an “apaya” and had no problems.
ちなみにこのアパヤを借りる場合には、ネットなどの情報によると「パスポート以外にも運転免許証のような何らかのIDカードが別途必要」らしいです。ただし、今回はその真意を確かめることはできませんでした。念のためID関係の書類はパスポート以外にも持っておいた方がいいみたいです。
So, as I explained above, as long as you are dressed properly, you will not be checked for your clothes, especially inside the museum. I think you can enjoy watching the show with peace of mind.

And now it’s time to head inside.
Each and every one of them is breathtakingly beautiful and moving no matter where you turn.
柱や床などのところどころに花の模様が見られますが、[highlight]これ全部宝石でできている[/highlight]んですよね。すごい、すごい贅沢すぎる！
Take a guided tour
シェイク・ザーイド・グランドモスクは、基本的にその内部を自由に見学することができますが、我々はちょうど午後5時から始まるTake a guided tourすることにしました。特に申し込み等は必要なく、時間に所定場所に集合しておけばOKとのこと。
The guided tour was in English, but I decided to try my best to get there. So, I can’t explain in detail because I can’t digest most of English (tears), but I’ll try to write based on what I could hear at that time and what I checked later.
このモスクは、この2007年と比較的新しいということ、そして、伝統的なイスラム建築を踏襲しつつ、世界各国にある最新の建築技術を用いて作られているのだとか。この宗教圏や文化圏によらず、[highlight]「世界のあらゆる国々の技術の結晶」[/highlight]というところを、特に強調していたのがとても印象的でした。もともとイスラム圏の中では最も開放的と言われるUAEならではの考え方だと思います。
First, the guide gave a basic explanation while walking along the promenade outside, and after a short break, we finally entered the mosque.
You need to take off your shoes at the entrance because shoes are not allowed inside. There is a shoe box for visitors in front of the entrance, so take off your shoes and put them in here.
靴を脱ごうとして下駄箱の前に行くと、正面のInside the mosqueとっても涼しい風が吹いてきます！Inside the mosqueは冷房完備、これは助かりました。なお、ガイドなしでも内部には入れますので、ある程度外を鑑賞した後はこの中で涼むのが良いかもしれません。正直ガイドツアー待つ間、暑かったんですよね（笑）。

Now it’s time to go inside. Very elegant and gorgeous.
Again, this floral pattern is made entirely of gemstones. Indeed, if you look closely, they are stones.
さらに奥へ。するとあたり一面に敷かれているペルシャ絨毯が。なんとこちら、横に長いモスクのスペースの端から端まで一枚のペルシャ絨毯で覆われているのだとか。世界一長いペルシャ絨毯のようです。
ただ、全フロアーで一枚というわけではありません。よく見ると繋ぎ目があります。
This joint is also meaningful, and it exists in about 1.2m sense. Can you see it in the picture below?
何を意味しているかというと「人が並ぶ列の間隔」の目安なのだそうです。お祈りするときに横に何列もの人が並ぶので、その時に並びやすいようにするためだそうです。ただ、上下は1.2m間隔ですが、横は端から端まで絨毯がつながっています。
Take a look at the top as well as the bottom. Wherever you look, you will be overwhelmed by the luxury and opulence.
By the way, the chandelier is made in Germany.
The guided tour lasts for about 30 minutes after entering the interior and ends. After that, you can see the inside freely. After the tour, we went back outside for the last photo session.
It was just a beautiful time at dusk. It was a little less hot, but it was still hot.
Transfer to Abu Dhabi Airport for your flight home
This is the end of our Dubai forced trip. Departing from Sheikh Zayed Mosque, we arrived at Abu Dhabi Airport in about 30 minutes. Returned the car without any problem. Check-in was smooth. I had a light meal at the airport, bought some souvenirs, and left for home by 10:00 p.m. flight. By the way, the airport in Abu Dhabi was not enough for shopping, just opposite to Dubai.
現地宿泊1日ながら、丸２日間、しっかりと満喫できたと思います。欲を言えばあと1日あるとよかったかなあと。ドバイ・アブダビはそれほど長居することはないかと思いましたが、2日ではちょっと駆け足過ぎましたね。ドバイのスークなど今回行けなかったので、次回機会があれば訪れてみたいと思います。後は今回はあまり食事的に恵まれなかったので、次回はもっと調査して美味しいところを見つけたいと思います。（終わり）
