It’s not much of a straight line from Saint-Benoit du Saut, but it took us less than an hour because we had to go on a very rural road.
On the way to this village, it finally started to rain. So it might be the first time to visit this beautiful village in the rain. We were blessed with good weather this time, so I guess we could enjoy the rain.
But this view on the road might have been better if it had been sunny.
Park your car around the entrance of the village and go sightseeing.
Actually, I’ve always hated rain. Because I can’t use my SLR camera. But this time, I had a mirrorless SLR! Thanks to the NEX-3! I was able to take pictures with one hand while holding an umbrella!
Needless to say, it’s a small village, but it’s worth taking pictures of all the nice buildings. I had a strong impression that there were some nice cars parked there. It really goes well with this kind of townscape!
And this village also has that feature. That it has a magnificent chateau and church compared to the size of the village.
The church was especially magnificent. The quiet atmosphere and somewhat holy air that cannot be experienced in a church in the city.
It was quite difficult to get to the village, but it was impressive that there were many tourists. Is it because it was Sunday?
It was raining at Gargillace d’Ampierre, but thanks to the NEX3, we had a great time. But I would like to go there again on a sunny day.
Next, we will leave our tour of beautiful villages and head to the World Heritage Site of Saint-Savin, which will take us two hours to reach.
