Well, I received an email from the tournament today with the rules. It’s not a big deal, but simple. Japanese tournaments are very detailed.

Understanding the content.

Le déguisement est obligatoire pour ce 30° anniversaire,

To be fancy dressed is compulsory for this 30th birthday,

In other words, “Cosplay me!” That’s what it means.

Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everything is ready.

Le dossard doit être parfaitement visible durant la course,

The bib must be perfectly visible during the race,

“It’s the same in Japan: “Your number should always be visible.

Le coupon cadeau sur le dossard ne doit pas être ni coupé, ni arraché ; si le dossard ne comporte pas le coupon “cadeau”, il n ‘y aura pas de récompense donnée à l’arrivée pour le coureur.

The “gift ticket” which is part of the bib, must not be cut, nor extracted ; otherwise, it means no award for the runner who will cross the finish line.

It looks like there is a gift certificate attached to your number. It means don’t cut it off. If you lose it, you won’t get a souvenir, so you have to take care of it.

Temps limite de course : 6h30,

Running time allowed : 6 hours 30 minutes,

This is the time limit. I heard that it was 6 hours every year, but this time it was extended to 6 hours and 30 minutes, probably because it was a memorial event. I’m relieved.

Si nécessaire, retour en bus possible au 21°km pour les plus fatigués !

If necessary, return possible by bus at the 21st km for the most exhausted runners !

If you retire, will you go home by this bus because there seems to be a bus 21km ahead? It seems that the bus will not chase you from behind.

Nous attendons de nombreux chars pour cette année, merci à eux ! En revanche, pour des questions de sécurité, avant le départ de la course, nous vous remercions de vous positionner en deuxième partie du peloton au moment du départ, donc loin de la ligne du départ.

We are waiting for a lot of carts for this year : Super and thanks to them! However, for safety reasons, Thank you to wait in the second part of the pack, which means quite far away from the start line, i.e. in the second part of the runners crowd,

I didn’t understand the meaning of this. I guess it means that the scale of the event has become so large that it’s getting crowded and difficult, so we’re asking for your understanding and cooperation. In any case, I have a feeling that it will be very exciting.

The contents are above. There’s also an English translation, so you can study French.

Come on, let’s go!
