Running Status Report

09. Sportsrunning

Although the marathon is still a long way off, I am gradually increasing the distance and pace of my training for the marathon, thinking that the months of March and April, when it is easier to run, are the best time to train because May is for travel and orchestra, and July and August are hotter and less training is needed.

So I’ve been slacking on my blogging lately, and today I’d like to give you an update on my running.

New running shoes

Top photo, I bought a new pair of running shoes last weekend. Chose Adidas. They are very comfortable. I went for my first run in them yesterday and the fit was great.

The sharp edges on the inside? I can’t run in them anymore because my heels get worn out by the sharp edges.

It was January of last year when I bought them, and I think I wore them out enough because I loved them not only for full marathons and four 25km runs, but also for walking on holidays, traveling and various other occasions.

Sub 4 Hour Marathon Training Plan at runkeeper

I started here last month. I want to get rid of the beginner, so I took the challenge.

runkeeper has several of these training menus.

Due to my physical condition and the weather, I can’t always do everything as planned, and the course is on public roads, so I can’t always do the specified distance (which is a mile, but that’s the least of my worries…), but I think I’ve been able to practice almost exactly on the days specified in my training plan. I think.

By the way, this is the number of miles I’ve driven in the last 30 days. Walking is included, but the situation is not so bad.

However, maybe it’s because I’ve been doing this consistently for the past month, but my legs have been feeling tired for a while now. Yesterday, even though it was a light run, my time went down significantly. I think I might need to take some time off.
