Date of visit: October 9, 2011, around 3:00 p.m.

Now, I’m going to continue the series of the beautiful village tour in GW. I’ll continue as soon as possible. I’m going to spell it out with serial numbers.

This time I was not alone, but traveling with my parents, so I was hesitant to go to the steep mountain roads, but I decided to take a chance and see what I could do.

The first beautiful village we visited was called Sainte-Agnès, near Menton, almost on the Italian border.

The road to get here was a bit steep, but it only takes about 30 minutes to get there from Manton city.

Even so, the Eagle’s Nest Village is located at an altitude of 800 meters.

It was difficult to find a parking space because there were a few tourists on Sunday, but I happened to be able to park in a different car from the one going out.

This village is very small compared to the eagle’s nest villages of Eze and Saint-Paul, which are familiar in guidebooks. It looks like the most beautiful village in France. However, the stone houses and cobblestones are just like the image of an eagle’s nest village in this region.

And I got the impression that there are some restaurants and souvenir shops unexpectedly. Even though it’s not so far from Manton, it’s so small in size and the road to here is so steep…. I was a little surprised.

We also went to the top of the cliff behind the village. To tell the truth, it was hot and the steps were hard and the foothold was not good, so we exhausted our strength more than we thought.

It offers a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Manton on its coast and this village.

We left the fort and went back to the village. After admiring the church, we went to the parking lot.

I feel that many of the churches in beautiful villages are magnificent for the size of the village.

Then we got in the car again and went down the mountain. Finally, I stopped the car on the way and took a picture of the village.

The roads were tight and it was a great drive to get used to driving.
