Date of visit: May 3, 2013, around 3:00 p.m.
Now, I will continue this series of articles solemnly this year.
For the first part of 2013, we have landed in Corus and we will start with the beautiful village of Sant’Antonino in Corus.
We rented a car at the airport in Ajaccio and set off, struggling with the poor performance of the Nissan Micra and the steeper-than-expected mountain roads of Corus, but we arrived at this beautiful village about 2 hours and 30 minutes after setting off.
As you can see, this beautiful village sits on a small hill. This is one of the oldest villages in Corsica.
I saw a few villages with similar appearance on the way, but I thought that beautiful villages have their own aura. I think it can be said that the appearance is quite good.
This sign is still alive and well in Corsica.
First of all, I parked my car there because there was a pay parking lot at the entrance of the village, and I climbed up the stairs here and headed into the village.
It was in a small village and bad road traffic, but I was under the impression that there are more tourists than I thought. Well, it’s not an island full of attractions.
As for the interior of the village, even though there were some beautiful places to take pictures, I honestly think it was below average for a beautiful village.
The atmosphere of the village itself was a mixture of French and Italian, perhaps due to its location and historical background, but I still had the impression that it was a French village.
Being on a hill, the view from the village was outstanding.
My overall impression was that it was just an average “most beautiful village in France”. So, I guess we can say it was a good start.
After this, we traveled to Bastia in the northern part of Corsica, about two hours from here. We stayed overnight in Bastia this day.
This year’s tour of beautiful villages has only just begun.
