6 Beautiful Villages Tour May 2014 Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages Field Report No.6

201405 Italy

Local time: April 28, 2014

The weather was not good on this day either, but gradually the rain stopped and it was often cloudy compared to the day before and the day before, so we were able to visit beautiful villages efficiently.

Total 6 places. The largest number of visits on this trip.

The first place “Aieta”, the first is a village about 30 minutes away from the hotel. I really wanted to visit this village the day before.

The second place “Viggianello”, we moved inland from Aieta for about 2 hours. We had a big trouble on the way…. I’ll tell you more about it later.

The third place “Morano Calabro”, it was sunny when we were walking around inside the village…. The view of the city from the outside was astonishing. Why is it raining here…?

The fourth place, Civita, looks somewhat un-Italian. It seems that the roots of this village are not Roman. It seems to be a village built up by Greek descendants. We are going to investigate later.

The fifth stop is Altomonte, an old town with a great atmosphere, but why is it raining again….

The sixth place “Fiumefreddo Bruzio”, a beautiful village on the cliff. There are thick rain clouds on the mountain side, but the village had a sunny sky.

We chose to stay in a small town called Amantea, about 10 minutes away from the 6th village. This town is located around the middle of the shin in the boot-shaped Italian peninsula.

Tomorrow we will finally land in Sicily. I hope the weather will be good.
