事前準備に関しては、こちらにまとめています。

Date and time: around noon on September 13, 2014

The race is still in its early stages. This time we will introduce the section from 9km-13km.

Because of the longitude and the adoption of daylight saving time compared to Japan, around noon, about two hours after the start, the atmosphere was that of 9:00 to 10:00 in the morning in Japan, but because of this weather, the temperature was quite high.

A view of the aid

As always, the aid is well stocked. Fruit was abundant.

In addition to oranges, there were also apples and bananas.

It’s such a crowded place, though.

Aid stations were every 2km or 3km. There was also a variety of food available at the wine stations.

It’s a little hard to tell in the next photo, but the waffle (or is it gouffle or gauffre in French?) and the wine combination was very delicious.

9.0km Château TRONQUOY-LALANDE(St-Estephe,Superieurs)

Château TRONQUOY-LALANDE http://www.tronquoy-lalande.com/

Now for the major chateaux. From here to about 20km, there will be a lot of angry “supply wine”. This is the “drinking place” of the first half.

The first one is TRONQUOY-LALANDE, which is a new rated chateau, I think it is called CHUPERIEURE.

This sign is posted in front of the wine chateau.

It was a chateau, but it was like a small wine workshop. The atmosphere was lovely.

This is also a plastic glass. I knew I had to have my own wine glass.

Since I’m drinking it under these circumstances, I can’t taste it slowly, but I could drink it normally and I think it tasted good. I may buy it again and drink it again.

11.5km Château POMYS(St-Estephe, Bourgeois)

Next is Chateau Pommi. This is another newly rated chateau.

I don’t remember much of the flavor, but I’m sure it was more than adequate grade.

And I remember the buildings on the grounds and the courtyard were lovely. So I made sure to take pictures of it.

13.0km Château HAUT-MARBUZET(St-Estephe,Exceptionnel)

We have presented the wines in almost the same order, but some châteaux may have been left out. We have tried to drink as much as possible, but it is difficult to cover all of them.

In fact, this chateau seemed to have run out of glasses at first. However, there were a lot of empty glasses left around, so I washed them and used them. So I washed them and used them, and (I can still say this now) I took them. It is very active after this.

But when I was taking a selfie with my iPhone, someone said “I’ll take a picture of you! I asked him to do it, but I got this picture….

なんというブログ仕様写真!、彼は僕がブログ書くことを見越してこんな写真を撮ってくれたと前向きに解釈しておきましょう(笑)。

Well, that’s it for this time. With this pace of writing, there seems to be a long way to go.

We were already more than 40 minutes over the original target time. And because the wine tasted better than expected and was poured in generous amounts, I was in a state of drunkenness. Will I be able to finish the race safely within the time limit? I don’t know… but I don’t care about that half of the time (laughs).
