Date of visit: April 27, 2011, around 9:00 a.m.
We spent a night in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy wine country, and it was another beautiful day on April 27. We are really blessed with good weather this time. Let’s start visiting beautiful villages today!
Châteauneuf, in Burgundy, is the most beautiful village in France. You can see it when you are driving on the A6 highway from Beaune to Paris. It’s quite impressive.
We were driving through a landscape like this!
We parked our car at the parking lot at the back of the village and started sightseeing.
Let’s go to the chateau first.
It looks big in the picture, but it is not so big in real. But it is a good size compared to the size of the village, and I thought it was a nice design with simplicity.
It costs a few euros to go inside. Sorry, I forgot the price. But it’s a small castle, so there are not so many things to see.
After the castle tour, we wandered around the village for a while.
Before leaving the village for the last time, we stopped the car at a photo point where we could take a panoramic view of the village and took photos.
The size of the village, the buildings, it was just like “the most beautiful village in France”. It was a wonderful village.
そういえば、先日このブログ(http://www.yuu-koma.jp/?p=7495)でも紹介したiPhone, iPadアプリ:「空からみたフランス」にもこの村の写真がありました。
It’s true that it’s not easy to get to without a car, but it’s a village not far from Dijon and Beaune, the heart of Burgundy, so I highly recommend visiting if you have the chance.
