Date and time of visit: May 10, 2013, around 7:00 p.m. (overnight)
The Saint-Emilion region, located in the suburbs of Bordeaux, is famous for its wine brands. And a World Heritage Site. It is a regional tourist attraction in the southwest Aquitaine.
I accidentally missed it when I went to Bordeaux in 2011, so I thought I must visit and stay there next time.
訪問した5月10日は朝から午後までずっと天気がよかったのですが、次第に下り坂となり、この日3つ目のフランスの最も美しい村「Tournemire(トゥルヌミール)」からは雨となってしまいました。
From Tournemire, it took about 3 hours to get to Saint-Emilion where we stayed, mainly by highway.
And we arrived at our destination after 7pm.
It was raining in Saint-Emilion, so we had a dinner at a restaurant near the hotel and finished the day. So we had a dinner at a restaurant near the hotel.
The meal was very good.
Of course, we had the local “Saint-Emilion” wine.
The next day was wonderful weather. A walk before breakfast. We left here in front of the hotel after 7:00.
The stone and cobblestone streets are very beautiful.
And the city bathed in the morning sun is also beautiful.
A World Heritage Site, a wine region and a perfect tourist attraction.
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel. We loaded our luggage into the car and walked around the city again.
We arrived at the observatory where you can see the whole city. The view from here was exceptional.
Delicious food, wine, and a beautiful town. Full of happiness, I’m really glad I came.
おみやげのワインやマカロンも忘れずに購入。そして車に戻り次なる目的地ボルドーへと向かいました。
