It was a very nice city, but it was under construction. If you have another chance to visit, I am sure you can see more beautiful city. However, you have to go on a long and steep road…
The second beautiful village of the day, Cantavieja, is also part of a group of beautiful villages in the Teruel province, which are concentrated in the northern interior of Valencia. Cantavieja and the next village, Morera, are located on the inland side of this cluster, so I felt that the road was more difficult than it looks on the map.
But it’s not much of a road compared to the Alpine stages in the beautiful French villages. (That time was really tough.)
We had a hard time finding a parking space. I managed to find a parking lot near the exit of the village. Apparently there was no parking for tourists. After parking, start sightseeing as soon as possible. It is just a walk in the village. I’ll head to the center for now. I feel old, but a little neglected time is long.
Then we arrived at the central square of the village, though we were a little lost. This village is under construction, and the square in front of the town hall, the church, and the road around the square were under construction. The dust was quite heavy.
Still, I thought it was a very beautiful cityscape. I could not do sightseeing slowly because of the construction, but if I have a chance to visit again, I want to re-tour slowly.
But then again, there are no shops at all, you can’t even buy water. This area may be a minus factor for sightseeing. It is all right because I bought enough water, but there is no food at all. Even if you are accustomed to, it seemed to be better to buy something at least sweets.
